Teen Dancer Audition For "The Addams Family" Musical
Actors age 13 and above are needed for "The Addams Family" Musical. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: THE ADDAMS FAMILY, a comical feast that embraces the wackiness in every family, features an original story and it’s every father’s nightmare: Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family– a man her parents have never met. And if that wasn’t upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before– keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents. Additional info: Your audition will include the following: SINGING - Please bring sheet music in the appropriate key. An accompanist will be provided: Teens (13+), please prepare 1 or 2 song choices that best showcase your talent (approximately 32 bars each). MOVING: ALL CANDIDATES: A simple across-the-floor series will be taught at auditions to assess movement ability. What to bring to auditions: Yourself and a positive attitude. Appropriate clothing in which to move. Music for the accompanist to play - Remember that an accompanist will be provided. Please bring the printed sheet music, of your song of choice, with you to auditions. If you have not completed the audition registration form, you will do that before your audition begins. Please consider filling out the audition form attached to the signup link BEFORE arriving at your audition. Failure to do so may cause you to audition at a later time than you signed up for. Headshot & optional resume, if you did not attach it to the audition registration form. Vocal Range: A3 – F5 The youngest of the Addams Family, Pugsley loves to be tortured by his big sister. He is lost trying to figure out his place now that she has a new boyfriend and family dynamics are changing. Pugsley is charming and funny, ideally with an unchanged singing voice.
All Vocal Ranges. The Addams ancestors from various eras serve as the chorus for the show and help bring the story to life. They will be featured both singing and dancing throughout the entire show (once released from the family crypt!). Seeking actors with both vocals and dancing abilities.
