Teen Performers Needed for Theatre Audition "Persuasion"
Audition for show "Persuasion". Must be 16+. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACEPTED. About the project: In 1806, Anne Elliot, the daughter of a baronet, falls in love with Captain Wentworth, despite his lack of fortune and prospects. Against her heart, she is persuaded to break off her engagement by Lady Russell, a close family friend who has been like a mother to Anne. Eight years later, brokenhearted, despondent, and ill-used by her family, Anne encounters Captain Wentworth once more, only to learn that he is now rich, very successful—and looking for a wife. The prior years of bitterness and resentment will truly test their love for each other, as well as Anne's will to resist the persuasion of others. (G#2-G4/Ab4) Baritone/tenor the show's protagonist. Captain Wentworth has returned from sea after being absent for 8 years, he is solemn reserved, but polite, and caring. The actor must be a strong singer, moderate dancer. (Also, please do not be discouraged of the vocal range, we will work with it!)
(Non- Singer). Sir Walter is Anne, Mary, and Elizabeth's, father. He is vain, and extremely zain. Must have a strong stage presence, and be prone to comedy
