The one, the only, Sherlock Holmes. A genius detective with an eagle eye, picture-perfect memory, and an obsession with puzzling crimes that borders on being unhealthy. He’s often the smartest person in the room and has no problem making it known.
Sherlock’s right-hand man and best friend, often needs to act as his interpreter for those who don’t seem to understand his mind. He is kind and patient, sometimes to a fault. Dedicated to his friend and his work, he struggles to maintain a work life balance.
John Watson’s wife is the most deeply affected by his workaholism. She is polite, loving, and clever, but struggles to feel truly appreciated for who she is by anyone besides her closest friend.
The pompous new coroner in town. He thinks very highly of himself and is dismissive of most everyone else. On the surface, he holds himself to the social standards of his class but has little integrity with them beyond what others may see.
A lively yet rugged journalist always looking for the next big story. They’re constantly at the scenes of the crimes trying to get exclusive interviews while putting any feelings they may have aside for the sake of the job.
Mary’s fiercely loyal friend from years past. She has a passion for literature and a penchant for mischief, always with a hint of rebellion against societal norms.
A practically-minded barmaid living in poor conditions, Liza is tough but tolerant and tries to maintain a gentle disposition with customers.
The leader of London’s police force, Officer Lestrade has been on many a case with Sherlock and has given up on trying to understand him and his methods, instead becoming reluctantly accepting of his help.
The most gentle of his police force, Officer Wilson sees his role as a protector of the citizens as requiring a large amount of care and respect for said citizens, a sentiment not entirely shared by all his coworkers.
Overly intense about his
Police work, Officer Roberts despises Sherlock for his unorthodox methods and believes the large amount of attention he gets from the press is completely undeserved.
The most incompetent of the police force, Officer Lewis would much rather spend his time having a warm meal than keeping the city safe.
The moody middle child of the Cooper sisters, Charlotte is completely disinterested in high society and would trade comfort and class for freedom any day. She is very confident in her identity, knowing exactly what she wants, and she resents the social standards that try to deny that.
The youngest and most spirited of her three sisters, Mathilda has a reckless disregard for manners and a near endless obsession with thrilling crimes, especially the murders, so long as they’re not a threat to her specifically.
The oldest of her sisters, Ella lives by every standard of her time and feels no discomfort in doing so. She’s constantly trying to get her sisters to behave properly and is quite exhausted by her
Liza’s cousin. The less patient of the two, Leonard works at his bar with Liza. He’s more grumpy and has a fairly strict no-nonsense policy.
Leader of the Irregulars, Sherlock’s scruffy gang of junior informants, Wiggins is the oldest and most responsible, acting like a big sibling to the rest. He takes it upon himself to keep them all as safe and healthy as possible while they inhabit the streets of London.
Archie is the most careless of the Irregulars, only focusing on surviving with a little bit of fun where he can find it and no extra care given to anyone outside of his found family with the Irregulars.
The nicest member of the Irregulars who tries to keep everyone’s morals somewhat intact. She’s empathetic, or as empathetic as she can be given her circumstances, and tries to make the best of their living situation.
The youngest of the Irregulars, Bea struggles to understand why being polite is so important when they make a living off of other people’s crimes.
Leonard’s wife. Ruth is the kindest soul in her part of town, possibly in all of London. She’s fairly shy and has a well-known passion for gardening.
