Audition opportunity for teens for the musical "Scrooge". Details are provided below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Additional info: Performers under 18 who are auditioning for a child role are asked to submit a virtual audition including 1 minute of a prepared vocal selection and a 1 minute monologue. Please include a resume and headshot. Callbacks will be given by invitation only. Auditioners should: Prepare a musical selection in the style of the show they are auditioning for (16 bars). Bring sheet music with the appropriate key and cuts. An accompanist will be provided. Prepare a 60-second monologue. Bring a current headshot and resume. Deadline by May 10th. Tiny Tim is the youngest child of Bob and Ethel Cratchit. Tiny Tim is the best of us. They have an illness that affects their motor skills but that doesn't stop them. A precocious and honest child, Tiny Tim is the antithesis to Scrooge. Must be able to sing well.
Kathy is the oldest daughter of Bob and Ethel Cratchit. She is finding her way in the world as a young woman. This actor also doubles as an urchin. Must be able to sing well.
Jenny is Scrooge's sister and Scrooge's favorite person. She is smart and strong, and her positivity keeps Ebenezer going. Scrooge's love for her is the only reason he tolerates his nephew. This actor also doubles as an urchin.
Martha is the youngest Cratchit daughter. She is Tiny Tim's best friend. Their relationship echoes that of Jenny and Ebenezer. This actor also doubles as an urchin.
The youngest version of Ebenezer, who is a lonely, sad, and poor child whose memory haunts present-day Scrooge. He loves his sister Jenny more than anything in the world. This actor also doubles as the sled boy and an urchin.
