"Chicago: Teen Edition" is looking for actors ages 13-18 years old. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: In roaring twenties Chicago, chorine Roxie Hart murders a faithless lover and convinces her hapless husband, Amos, to take the rap... until he finds out he's been duped and turns on Roxie. Convicted and sent to death row, Roxie and another "Merry Murderess," Velma Kelly, vie for the spotlight and the headlines, ultimately joining forces in search of the "American Dream": fame, fortune, and acquittal. Additional info: Prepare up to 60 seconds of any song selection that best highlights your vocal range and abilities utilizing a YouTube karaoke track. Provide the YouTube address and start time for your audition piece on your personal information form. Prepare to read for roles at auditions. Rehearsals start in June with performances July 26-28 and August 1-3, 2024. Please view and download the audition packet attached. The audition packet contains all the information about what to bring for auditions and will include the rehearsal calendar. Please be sure to enter your email accurately. Please note, that you will need to arrive 10-15 min before your audition time slot to turn in paperwork. Auditions will be conducted in small groups.
