Teen Talent Wanted for "Vierge" Play
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Casting African-American female perfomers ages 16-17 for production of "Vierge". See the details below. About the play: Synopsis: Four Congolese-Canadian girls attempt to forge friendships despite the life events and circumstances that try to pull them apart. Pressures from the church clash with norms from mainstream society. These young women (ages 16 to 17) must learn how to be true to themselves, honouring their parents’ cultural values while finding firm footing on their own two feet. Secrets are revealed and everyone’s mettle is tested as they are forced into making hard choices that will forever change them from girls into women. Will they stand together or be pushed apart? Additional information: The production runs in Montreal in February 2025, and in Ottawa in March 2025. Actors with dance/movement skills are encouraged to apply.
