Casting Teen Performers for Musical Workshop in Spanish

About the project: Synopsis: El Romántico" tells the story of a father and daughter who find themselves drifting apart during the daughter's teenage years. As they struggle to connect and understand each other, they both feel the growing distance between them, as if they don't know this version of themselves. However, music becomes the unexpected bridge that brings them back together. 'El Romantico,' a new musical written by Julia Rosa Sosa with music from her dad, Olaf Sosa, and music producer Miguel Corral, made possible by the Assembly of the Arts Creative Impact Fund. Rate: $300 Additional info: DATES: June 3-7 2024, TIME: 4-8 pm PUBLIC READING JUNE 7 2024, 6 PM Some actors will be playing several characters Descriptions of the characters are as they are identified in the script, however actors from all gender identities and expressions are encouraged to audition for the characters they would feel inclined to. Performers of all races, ethnicities, national origins, gender expressions, body types, and abilities are encouraged to audition. Actors from all experience types are welcome to audition, the director will do her best to schedule rehearsals to accommodate folks with jobs, child care, and family commitments.
