Singing Opportunities for Kids in "Beauty and the Beast"
Kids in 6th - 12th grade have singing opportunities in "Beauty and the Beast." Please review the details below. About the project: The classic story tells of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed into his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity. This "tale as old as time" is filled with spectacular costume and set opportunities or, even more simply staged, Disney's Beauty and the Beast offers a great opportunity to bring the entire community together for family theatre at its best. Additional info: Performances: July 19 - 28, 2024 Attend only audition date. To be considered for a speaking role, students must also sing at the 2 p.m. auditions. Bring jazz shoes if you have them. Anyone experienced in dance, acrobatics, and gymnastics is encouraged to attend. Callbacks are on April 27, by invitation only. Performers: For current 6th - 12th-grade students interested in acting, singing, and dancing. No previous musical theater experience is necessary! Attend only audition date. Auditions consist of: Vocal: prepare a song from selections found in the attachment. No a cappella recorded music, or accompanist will be provided.
