Casting Call for Boys and Girls for Children's Chorus

Auditions for the 2024-2025 season for Children's Chorus. Welcome boys and girls in grades K to 12 - from young beginners to serious high school singers. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Additional info: Each audition is private with the Artistic Director and lasts approximately 20 minutes. A casual, but neat dress is appropriate. Plan to arrive about 10 minutes before your scheduled audition time. Students who are accepted will be able to register the same day. Pay the registration fee. Prepare for the audition: information below: Grades K-3 Prepare one verse of each of the following: Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star Happy Birthday Mary Had a Little Lamb Grades 4-5 Prepare one verse of each of the following: Happy Birthday My Country 'Tis of Thee Frère Jacques One other song of your choice - bring sheet music if possible. Grades 6-9 Prepare one verse of each of the following: The Star Spangled Banner Row, Row, Row Your Boat D - Major Scale - Up and Down on solfège/numbers One other song of your choice - bring sheet music if possible. Grades 10-12 Same as grades 6-9 AND: One song of your choice to demonstrate range and vocal technique - bring sheet music if possible. Examples include classical solo pieces; Broadway show tunes; and choral pieces from school choir/ religious organization choir. If interested, please apply.
