Teen Casting Call for "The Low Point" Short Film

"The Low Point" Student Short Film is looking for actors ages 14 and above. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: A young girl, Mara, has locked herself in her room and is dealing with a heavy loss, the death of her best friend. We can only see what she does from her waist down. The camera never gets any higher. The screen is split in half, one half the hallway outside her room, the other half in her bedroom. It is the day of the funeral. We see her wandering around, moving from her bed to the floor to the beanbag, etc. Going through all the separate stages of grief. Outside we see friends and family members trying to get her to come out of her room. No one is successful until someone finally pulls her out. Rate: NO PAY. Directors will provide food on both days of the shoot, depending on travel, you may receive compensation for gas and parking. Additional info: Location: UW Milwaukee campus, Kenilworth Square East.
