About the project: The eldest son of a large family is forced to intercede after his father offers to sacrifice his newborn brother, the thirteenth child, in order to save the family's fledgling almanac. Based on both colonial folklore and historical facts, "THE DEVIL YOU DON'T" is the origin story of the New Jersey Devil and a thrilling horror about familial devotion, vanity, and vengeance. Rate: $125/day plus travel and housing. Additional info: Dates: June 1-2, 2024. The role works on 6/1. Non-Union: Non-union talent only. Location: Transportation from NYC and housing will be provided for some roles. Other roles must work as locals and must be able to self-report to Reedsville, PA 17084 (Mifflin County). NB for Children's Roles: All the children's roles are part of the same family, and preference may be given to parents who submit multiple children. While this is a horror short film, the children will not be in any scenes with scary situations or horror elements.
