Saint Petersburg, FL, United States
ID: 567825Exp: 6/29/2024
Description:

Auditions are open for young performers for the theatre production of "Little Women." Please refer to the details below. About the project: Based on Louisa May Alcott's life, Little Women follows the adventures of sisters, Jo, Meg, Beth, and Amy March. Jo is trying to sell her stories for publication, but the publishers are not interested – her friend, Professor Bhaer, tells her that she has to do better and write more for herself. Begrudgingly taking this advice, Jo weaves the story of herself and her sisters and their experience growing up in Civil War America. This powerful musical score soars with the sounds of personal discovery, heartache, and hope – the sounds of a young America finding its voice. Additional info: Note: This production is for incoming, current, and recently graduated High School students. Performances are August 9-11, 2024. Rehearsals begin July 9, 2024, and will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:30 pm & Saturdays at 12:30 pm. Additional days may be added during tech week. Leads may be asked to cold sing a small section of a song. If you are interested please apply.
