"The Magic of Books" Child Audition for the Theater

“The Magic of Books” summer children’s production that will tour area libraries. Auditions are open to students ages 10 to 15. Please see the details below. About the project: It's the first day of school for Charlie. She/He is excited but also a little nervous about making new friends. At lunch, she/he meets "The Lost Kids Book Club" named after J. M. Barries lost boys in his infamous book "Peter in Kensington Gardens". The Book Club re-creates the potion that turns Dr. Jekyll into Mr. Hyde based on Robert Louis Stevenson's book "The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde". The group drops their potion into their teacher's waters, turning them into their alter ego. Tag along as "The Lost Kid's Book Club" uses clues in these bestselling and historic authors' books to change their teachers back to normal. Additional info: Please prepare a 1-minute memorized monologue of your choice, that best shows off your big bright personality! Be prepared to sight-read from the script and answer some fun questions about yourself. If you are unavailable during the dates and times posted, please contact us.
