Children Theatre Casting Call for "Beauty and the Beast"
Casting call for children's theatre production of "Beauty and the Beast." Please refer to the details provided below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Additional info: The local cast will be completely separate from the Touring cast. The local cast will perform 7 performances, and the touring cast will perform 5 performances. Both the local cast and Touring cast will be directed by the same creative team, but rehearse and perform separately, with the exception of a potential casts sing -along, still in the making. Saturday, April 20th-9 am start Please bring headshots and resumes to the check-in table. A production fee will be collected for those auditioners under the age of 18, Please bring your ID if it is a close call. Call backs Sunday, April 21st – 2 pm- 8 pm. There will be 2 casts of 8-12 children each. (shorter in height is preferred) both casts will perform 6 shows each and be featured in various portions of the show. Children wishing to audition for CHIP need to make aware during your 3- 3-minute audition slot.

Gaston's bumbling sidekick. He is loyal, energetic, and optimistic, but not quite the brightest guy. Vocal range top: F#4 Vocal range bottom: B2
The scheming proprietor of the local insane asylum. He is a dark, sinister villain who aides Gaston in his plot to marry Belle. Vocal range top: A4 Vocal range bottom: D3
The silly girls are pretty young maids who swoon over Gaston. They are featured performers within the ensemble.
(TOWNSPEOPLE - ENCHANTED OBJECTS) There are MANY additional ensemble roles. The ensemble is very busy throughout the show. There are several solo lines in songs like Belle and The Mob Song, and many great ensemble numbers (Gaston, Be Our Guest, Human Again, Mob Song, Finale’).
