Searching Teenagers for "Next to Normal" Show
Audition for "Next to Normal". Looking to cast performers ages 16+. Please see the details below. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Additional info: Please prepare a 1-2 minute cut of a contemporary musical theatre song, or a musical song in a rock style, or a song from the show. Please have your own backing track ready, we will not have an accompanist. Teams will have access to a Bluetooth speaker and can play tracks from YouTube. Directors will have sides available for cold readings. Some actors may receive a callback. The callback date is TBD. Production dates are September 12 - 22. Rehearsals will be Monday and Wednesday nights from 6 - 9:30 starting in June. Not all actors will be called to all rehearsals. There is a possibility of adding a third weekly rehearsal in mid-August as we get closer to the show. This will be determined with actor and production staff schedules as teams move through the process. If interested, please apply.

Tenor Gabe is daring and rebellious and often comes across as rude. The only person he has a real affection for is his mother, Diana.
Baritone with some Tenor Henry is a 17 year old musician who is very interested in Natalie, perhaps even in love with her.
Soprano or High Alto Natalie is a teenage girl trying to find herself. She is the daughter of Diana and Dan and struggles with knowing how to deal with the emotional roller coaster that is her life.
Dr. Madden/Dr. Fine are Diana’s primary physicians and try to reach her through a variety of treatments. The role is fairly easy going and assumes other character traits in Diana’s mind. Is the Dr. a rockstar?
