Child Audition for Upcoming Short Films

Casting kids and teens to act in "Timmy and Leroy" and "The Magic Mantis" Short Films. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the projects: "Timmy and Leroy": A short story about 7-year-old Timmy who meets his monster-under-the-bed all while his babysitter, an incognito monster-under-the-bed hunter tries her luck at bagging the monster under Timmy’s bed. "The Magic Mantis": A short story about a 12-year-old boy, Norman, who is running from bullies and hides in a magic shop owned by a real wizard, Merlin Dragon. Norman learns he is adopted and his biological parents are magic folk, meaning he has magic powers that he learns to use, and so he is able to handle the bullies that have plagued him for the past years. Rate: These films are student films and no pay is offered. Lunch will be served and a crafts table will be available. You will also have access to footage for your acting reel. Additional info: Dates will be determined, but directors normally shoot on the weekends. Filming will be in Poplarville, MS, 35 miles south of Hattiesburg, MS, and 55 miles northwest of Gulfport, MS.
