Kid Performers Needed for Theatre Audition "Our Town"

Seeking actors ages 10 and above for auditions for the iconic drama "Our Town". Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Described by Edward Albee as “the greatest American play ever written,” Our Town presents the small town of Grover’s Corners in three acts: “Daily Life,” “Love and Marriage” and “Death and Eternity.” Narrated by a stage manager and performed with minimal props and sets, the play depicts the simple daily lives of the Webb and Gibbs families as their children fall in love, marry, and eventually – in one of the most famous scenes in American theatre – die. Additional info: Auditioners may bring a resume and headshot but are not required to do so. Auditioners may bring a completed Audition Form attached or fill one out onsite. Auditioners will be asked to read scenes from the script. Several copies of the script are available at the Indianapolis Public Library. The script is also available to download in full online. Please arrive on time and bring a full list of schedule conflicts. You can expect to stay the whole evening. Actors will be called to the stage one or more times to try different scenes and different actor combinations. PRODUCTION DATES: June 13 – 23, with performances Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday (matinee) (8 shows) SCHEDULE: The schedule will be made considering performer availability and need. Performers will be called to select rehearsals pertinent to their roles. Great care will be given to limit rehearsals.
