"Footloose: Youth Edition" invites teens in grades 7-9 to audition. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Ren McCormack, a teenager with rhythm in his soul, lands in Bomont, a town where dancing is strictly forbidden. But Ren can't help but move! And when he finds an unlikely ally in the rebellious daughter of the town's strict reverend, together they spark a revolution. Can they overcome tradition and bring back the joy of dance? A G-rated version, this is Footloose fun for the whole family. You'll be ready to sing and dance along to iconic hits such as "Holding Out for a Hero" and "Footloose." You're not only in for a good time, you're helping to nurture the next generation of performers. Don't miss this show! Additional info: Auditions will consist of singing a song from the show and learning a short dance. Rehearsal Dates: Week 1: June 17, 18, 19, 20 Week 2: June 24, 25, 26, 27 Week 3: July 1, 2, 3 (No rehearsal on Independence Day) Week 4: July 8, 9, 10, 11 Week 5: July 15, 16, 17, 18 Tech Week (no conflicts allowed) July 22, 23, 24, 25 Show dates will be: JULY 26 – 7 pm JULY 27 – 2 pm and 7 pm JULY 28 – 2 pm Please download the attachment for additional audition details.
