Small, wide-eyed, full of promise and innocence. A chronic ailment keeps him confined to his home and the yard surrounding. His only point of access to the world at large is through his sister. To make up for the time spent alone, without the presence of boys and girls his own age, he has let his imagination grow unfettered, to the point that it has taken shape in reality — his Wicker Grandmother and the Weeping Woman hidden in the secret room.
