Description:
The Metropolitan Opera is seeking child actors for rehearsals and performances of a new production of El Niño in the spring of 2024. El Niño is an acclaimed opera-oratorio, which incorporates sacred and secular texts in English, Spanish, and Latin, from biblical times to the present day, in an extraordinarily dramatic retelling of the Nativity.

Seeking: 4 BIPOC children (boys or girls) plus covers, between the ages of 6-9 years. Child actors should be small, young-looking, should move well, and should be able to convey sadness, struggle, and “the weight of the world.” *Children must be 6 years of age before March 15, 2024. The child actors must be available for all rehearsals and performances listed in the attached file.
