Children Theatre Casting Call for "Tarzan"

Audition for an upcoming community production of "Tarzan". Open to participants from grade 4 and up. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Additional info: Arrival: Participants are requested to arrive promptly for their audition time. Music: Prepare a song that highlights vocal abilities and connects with the character being auditioned for. Please avoid using a song from Tarzan®. The selection should be between 16-32 measures (30-60 seconds). Bring a copy of the music with the piano part for the accompanist or use a “karaoke-type” accompaniment on a phone. Singing along with anyone will not be allowed. Movement: Tarzan comes to life with energetic choreography and character-driven movement. Be prepared to showcase the best ape movement. Dress for movement and wear closed-toed shoes. Some ensemble members have dance specialties for which any acrobatics would be a plus. Acting: No need to prepare a monologue. Auditionees will receive script samples to use to showcase acting skills. The performances are scheduled for April 11, 12, and 13.
