FSU College of Motion Picture Arts Short Film "Butterfly Oasis"
This is an environmental student short film directed under faculty supervision by Florida State University's College of Motion Picture Arts. We are seeking an actor to play the younger version of protagonist Shoshi Liedermann during a flashback dream sequence. Production Days for this Role: Saturday, February 17 Film Logline: In the year 2050, a jaded environmental author is visited in a dream by the phantom of her childhood self. Rating: PG The current draft of the script has been attached. If you are interested, contact us back and we will provide you with audition information and sides. An hour-long rehearsal will be held in the week leading up to the film's production between the actors playing young and old Shoshi. The protagonist's younger self, whom she visits in a flashback. this version of Shoshi is a bright-eyed young activist who is determined to solve the climate crisis. She masterfully presents her science fair project, and pitches ideas for eco-friendly inventions that capture the imaginations of even the most cynical minds.
