Casting Teen Performers for "26 Pebbles" Play
Searching for performers ages 13 and above for "26 Pebbles" Play. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: On December 14, 2012, Adam Lanza walked into Sandy Hook Elementary School and killed 26 innocent souls before taking his own life. These 26 innocent deaths, like pebbles thrown into a pond, created ripples and vibrations that were felt far beyond the initial rings. This is the story of those vibrations. Similar in style to The Laramie Project, 26 Pebbles is a heartbreaking and riveting docudrama. Playwright Eric Ulloa conducted interviews with members of the community in Newtown and crafted them into an exploration of gun violence and a small town shaken by a horrific event. Additional info: Performance dates are May 29 - June 8, 2024. Rehearsals will begin in March and will be 3 days a week. Please be aware that directors are willing and planning to work around conflicts with spring break, school shows, prom, senior events, and graduations. Once an appointment will be made, those auditioning will be provided with sides from the script to prepare. Directors expect a well-prepared, committed performance, but memorization is not required. If interested, please apply.
