About the project: Beauty and the Beast is a captivating tale of love and acceptance that follows Belle, a young woman with a passion for books, as she finds herself drawn to an enchanted castle inhabited by a fearsome Beast. Despite their initial differences, Belle discovers the kind heart hidden beneath the Beast's exterior, leading to an unexpected romance that challenges societal norms. With the help of charming enchanted objects and their unwavering belief in true love, they embark on a transformative journey that teaches them the power of inner beauty and compassion. Rate: This year we are able to offer up to 2 Tier 2 Actors Equity contracts. Non-union principals pay $1,600. Non-union supporting roles pay $800. Ensemble roles pay $400. WWST pays non-union actors 1/2 for their stipend on the first rehearsal day they attend and 1/2 after the closing performance. Additional info: Headshots and resumes are appreciated but not required. Please prepare a short section of a song from a musical that best shows off your voice and range that is no more than 2 minutes in length. Bring appropriate and marked sheet music in the proper key. An accompanist will be provided. We will also have a speaker with attachments for phones or computers if you need to bring a backing track or karaoke cut for your music. If asked to stay for callbacks, we will provide scenes at that time. There are no non-singing roles available. If interested, please apply.
