"Space Pirates" Show Seeks Child Performers

Auditions for "Space Pirates" are open for those in primary grades 1-5. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Pirates! Aliens! Space Travel! Space Pirates tells the story of Gabby, a kid who gets picked on during a school trip to the museum. Everything quickly changes when an alien spaceship accidentally beams Gabby and her classmates up to outer space. Things go from bad to worse when the alien spaceship is suddenly attacked by SPACE PIRATES! It’s only after this whirlwind space adventure that Gabby becomes comfortable in her own skin, and her classmates appreciate her for who she is. Additional info: Those auditioning for a lead or supporting role will be asked to sing an acapella 30-45 second cut of a song that demonstrates vocal ability, expression, and character. Those wishing to participate as an ensemble may skip the solo part of the audition process. Rehearsals will be on Saturdays and Sundays from 1:00-4:00 Pm as follows: December 9 &10 Sun Dec 17 Sat Dec 30 Each weekend begins Jan 6 through Feb 11. Spacing run Wed Feb 14, Tech Thurs Feb 15.
