Kids & Teens Sought for "Annie the Musical"
"Annie the Musical" seeks performers who are 8 years old and above. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: “Annie” tells the story of everyone’s favorite redhead, who charms everyone she meets in 1930s New York City. Dropped on the doorstep of an orphanage years ago, Annie longs to meet her true parents while escaping the wrath of orphanage owner Miss Hannigan. When the gruff billionaire Oliver Warbucks invites Annie to join him for Christmas, her dreams of family come to life in unexpected ways as she befriends President Franklin D Roosevelt, foils Miss Hannigan, and finds home in unexpected places. The beloved musical features classic songs like “Tomorrow,” “Maybe,” and Miss Hannigan’s not-so-loving ode to the orphans she looks after: “Little Girls.” Rate: This show is a semi-professional production. Compensation is determined based on previous professional credits and experience. Not all roles are compensated. This production, as part of the “community company” series, gives an opportunity for less experienced performers to work in a professional environment and gain credits before entering a professional theater experience. Additional info: To audition, please prepare two contrasting songs in the style of the show (selections from the show are accepted) no more than 32 bars.
