The story opens with Alice at school, where she and her friends are taking a prim and proper dance lesson. Alice soon grows bored and lets her playful imagination carry her away, turning the lesson topsy-turvy.
Alice grows and shrinks several times during her adventures in Wonderland. While she is giant-sized, she cries enormous tears, enough to fill a whole ocean! She swims through the salty underwater kingdom, meeting a group of very curious oysters.
In Wonderland, Alice meets a mysterious Caterpillar. After trading riddles with Alice, the Caterpillar spins a cocoon to transform. When he bursts out with beautiful new wings, he joins a flock of butterflies in a joyful dance.
Alice's journey takes her to the castle of the bad-tempered Queen of Hearts. Inside, the Queen's courtiers are trapped at an endless party, constantly celebrating the Queen's un-birthday.
The Queen of Hearts loves red roses, but her gardeners accidentally planted white ones. This piece features the dancing roses and the gardeners who are frantically trying to fix their mistake.
