"Junie B. Jones Jr." Musical Show Seeks Boys & Girls
Open auditions for the Spring production of "Junie B. Jones Jr.". Seeking actors ages 6 -18. Please see the details below. About the project: It’s Junie B.’s first day of first grade, and a lot of things have changed for her: Junie’s friend, Lucille, doesn’t want to be her best pal anymore and, on the bus, Junie B. makes friends with Herb, the new kid at school. Also, Junie has trouble reading the blackboard and her teacher, Mr. Scary, thinks she may need glasses. Throw in a friendly cafeteria lady, a kickball tournament and a “Top-Secret Personal Beeswax Journal,” and first grade has never been more exciting. Additional info: Auditioners should bring a calendar that includes conflicts; we highly recommend that they come with a completed audition form that indicates ALL possible conflicts. Auditioners may attach a resume and picture if preferred (not required). They will have their picture taken and an audition number assigned. Auditions will consist of a music audition and (if auditioning for a speaking role) a cold reading audition. Auditioners will need to prepare a song excerpt (approx. 1-2 minutes) for your music audition. Music should be Disney, Broadway, or Jazz Standard style, but NOT a song from Junie B. Jones Jr. The Musical. Auditioners may bring their phones with lyrics, a CD, or sheet music for our accompanist. The Director requests that Auditioners do not sing a capella. Casting: The final cast list will be sent via email by Wednesday night, December 13th. If interested, please apply!
