"The Wizard Of Oz" The Musical Needs Kids and Teens
Kids and teens ages 8 and older are needed for the musical production of "The Wizard of Oz." Please refer to the details provided below for more information. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: With a whimsical reimagined feel, L. Frank Baum’s classic novel comes to life as we follow Dorothy down the yellow brick road and into a strange world where monkeys fly, munchkins dance and sing and a Wicked Witch is hot on Dorothy’s trail. Along the way, Dorothy meets some new friends and discovers that there really is no place like home. Rate: All positions are unpaid. Additional info: Performances run September 8 - 24, 2023. During your audition time, you must be prepared to sing 16 bars of music that best reflects your range and character(s) you are auditioning for. An accompanist will be available and you must bring sheet music with you; no digital sheet music will be permitted. In addition to singing, you may be asked to learn a small piece of choreography and/or read from the script so please dress appropriately. Please see the attachment for details.
