"Shrek" The Musical Searching for Teens

ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Looking for singers, actors and dancers aged 15+ for "Shrek" The Musical. Please see the details below. Additional info: Rehearsals will be held beginning in May throughout the summer and the production will run July 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 27th, 28th, 29th and 30th. Generally rehearsals will fall on Monday, Wednesdays and Thursday evenings, but actors will only be called to rehearsals where they’re needed. A more detailed rehearsal schedule will be available after auditions. The company will ask for actors’ conflicts at auditions and will work around summer vacation plans, etc, however please do not audition if you’re unavailable for all performances. There is no fee to participate. Please prepare a 16-bar cut of a musical theatre-style song of your choice. Ideally we would like to hear something in the style of the show and/or the character(s) you may be interested in. However if you cannot find something to fit those specifications, bring your best cut! We would like to hear something that is both comfortable in your voice and shows off your strengths! *Additionally, please bring a bluetooth speaker and an electronic device to play your instrumental track from. Directors will NOT be providing an accompanist for this audition. If you are using a cut from an instrumental track on YouTube or another audio playback service, the best course of action is to get a screen recording of your cut and save it to your device so you won’t have to worry about loading it with the internet during your audition. Please come prepared to dance as there will be a piece of choreography taught at the audition. Please also come prepared to do cold readings from the script. If you are interested, please apply.
