Seeking Child Performers for "Mary Poppins Jr" Musical

Kids ages 6-12 needed for "Mary Poppins Jr" Musical. See the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Additional info: Please note: there is a production fee applied. No prior musical theater experience is needed. At the audition, you will perform one of the monologues included in this sheet and sing a song of your choice. The directors do say perform because the directors like the monologue to be memorized and said clearly with appropriate character and movement put into it. Please choose a song that you feel comfortable singing. You only need to sing a part of a song. It does not need to have musical accompaniment, but if it does, please make sure it is only backup music. It can be from the show if you like. Please do not come in costume to the audition. The directors would rather see what you bring to the character through facial expression, voice, and movement. If you have a prop and want to use it, that is fine. Dancers- If you prefer to dance in the show and not have a speaking or solo singing part, you may just audition with a small dance routine. 1 to 2 minutes will be fine. If you have dance experience and are also doing a song and monologue, please have a small dance routine prepared as well or incorporate the dance into your song. If you can tap dance please use the tap as your audition dance. Rehearsals Rehearsals will be Mondays 5:00-7:00 and Thursdays 5:30-7:30 beginning April 24th and running every week until the show Show Dates -June 16 and 17 (this is a tentative date) Please see the attachment for details.
