"The Sound of Music" Show Needs Girls & Boys
Seeking performers ages 6 and above for "The Sound of Music" Show. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Additional info: WHAT TO PREPARE: Music: 1 min/32 bars of a musical theatre song of their choosing (from the show is okay). Please bring an accompaniment track - A Bluetooth speaker will be provided. Dance: There will be a short dance combo to show movement ability. Video will be posted in advance and combination with be reviewed at the audition. Check back here soon. Sides: Prepare one side from the list attached (memorization not required), you may be asked to read others at the audition. PERFORMANCE DATES: August 11-13 Fri and Sat at 7:30 and Sun at 2 pm - should there be a high demand, there is potential for a Sat matinee as well. Rehearsals will begin in June, performance dates are Aug 11-13. WHEN: May 21st or by video 1 pm - 3 pm - Kids ages 6-16 Note that a small participation fee applies. If interested, please apply.

(low tenor, dance,) Suitor to Liesl, telegram delivery boy, later Nazi soldier. A very pleasant young man, somewhat aggressive but in a gentle way.
(mezzo, dance) The oldest child, blossoming into a young lady with an interest in boys. Has a maternal edge to her and cares very deeply for her siblings.
Tough exterior. Trying to be “the man” of the family.
Rebellious attitude.
Falsetto. Gentle and mischievous.
Smart, reads a lot.
Very sweet and gentle.
