Girls & boys ages 0-18 wanted for "2023 Miss Catawba County Sunshine". See the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Additional info: Please note: there is a production fee applied. Competition Criteria. Beauty (required for age division): Contestants aged 0-6 should wear Sunday best or natural pageant dress. The dress can be any length, however, the contestant should be able to walk in the dress without tripping over it. Contestants aged 7-12 should wear a short or long dress. Contestants aged 13 and up should wear a floor-length evening gown. No glitz dresses! Decade Wear (required for age division): This is your chance to show the judges your favorite decade! Your outfit can represent ANY decade. Judges are looking for creativity. The decade you are representing will be announced while you are walking on stage. Anything goes for this category. Please remember to keep all outfits age appropriate. Upbeat modeling is recommended for this category. No pro-am modeling or routines. This phase of the competition is where contestants should let loose and show their personality! Interview (required for age division): This is your chance to show the judges who you are off the pageant stage! Attire is business casual, something you would wear to a job interview. Ages 0-3 will have playtime. Ages 4 and up will have a round-robin-style interview. Questions asked will be based on the contestant's EMCEE sheets. Interview times will be given a week before the pageant so please plan accordingly to make sure you are not late for your assigned time. Contestants should be lined up at the interview door at their assigned interview time. Photogenic (required for majestic titles): Contestants should turn in a headshot. Photos should be in a hard or plastic cover. No frames. Light retouching is allowed but the contestant should still look like the contestant.
