Auditions for Opera Show "Cinderella". Seeking boys and girls ages 16+. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Rate: Stipend provided. Additional info: Performance Dates: 2023, June 7, 8, 9,10; 14, 15,16,17; 21, 22, 23, 24; 28, 29, 30, and July 1. DANCE CALLBACKS BY INVITATION: Wednesday, February 22nd: 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm Saturday, February 25th: 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Please provide clearly marked sheet music for the live piano accompanists (provided by directors). Audition sides will be provided for callback dates, no need to prepare a monologue. Dance calls will occur by invitation on callback dates. Rehearsals will begin by March, schedule to be determined after casting. Non-union actors are able to apply. Please bring a headshot, resume, and 2 songs in English in the style of the show or specific role.

(legit/traditional musical theatre soprano; strong mover and dancer) Authentically kind-hearted beauty with an infectious generosity of spirit. Though she has suffered a life of indignities at the hands of her cruel step-family, she blossoms as an articulate dynamic woman with a great deal to say.
(rich, soaring baritone to a G; strong mover and dancer) Prince of the kingdom who leads with heroic bravado and a light comedic touch. He is also deeply naive with an open mind and an optimistic outlook on the world. In search of his purpose, his sweet side borders on endearing goofiness.
(strong expressive mezzo-soprano) Ella's stepsister and daughter of Madame. Begins aligned with her materialistic mother and sister but her kindness and thoughtful nature emerge as she is transformed by Ella and her developing love for Jean Michel. Quick, funny, and perhaps a bit quirky, she is cut from a more enlightened cloth than the others of high society.
(traditional character mezzo-soprano, belt to an F) Ella's stepsister and daughter of Madame. Deeply self-involved attention seeker. Loud and brash, she delights in gaining favor by disliking her stepsister. Lacks self-awareness and is often the last one in on the joke.
(Fairy Godmother): (legit/traditional dramatic soprano) First presents as the town's resident crazy bag lady, but is later revealed as Ella's fairy godmother in disguise. Warm, likable, and brightly charming, her playful nature brings magic and possibility to Ella's world and the whole show. Requires physical grace and strong character work.
(traditional musical theatre baritone) An enthusiastic evolutionary determined to make a difference in the world. Charismatic and maybe a bit dorky, this young leader is emerging as a positive political force fighting for social change.
(strong legit/traditional tenor) Sebastian's second-in-command, town crier, and herald for all important events. Comic, a bit self-important, and ultimately extremely likable.
