Looking for Teenagers for "Frozen" The Musical
Mount Pleasant High School students are invited to audition for "Frozen" The Musical. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Additional info: Everyone auditioning is asked to prepare 16 -32 bars (about one minute) of a contemporary musical theater song in the style of the show (examples include: Disney's Beauty and the Beast, Disney's Little Mermaid, Anastasia, Seussical, Shrek, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee). An accompanist will be provided, so please bring sheet music in the correct key. If you cannot obtain sheet music, please bring a karaoke track with no vocals (Directors will have a Bluetooth speaker for you to connect to from your mobile device). Note if you audition with a karaoke track directors may ask you to sing an additional piece. Please be prepared to dance. You will be given the opportunity to change into comfortable clothes for the dance portion of the audition. Rehearsals will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm, with Saturday rehearsals from 9:30 - 12:30, with some Saturdays going until 3:00 pm. A read-thru will be held on December 22 at 6:30 pm. In preparation for auditions, directors will host an Audition Workshop on Saturday, December 10th from 9:30 am - 1:00 pm. Performance dates are March 30, 31, and April 1 at 7:00 pm, with a matinee on April 1 at 2:00 pm. If interested, please apply.
