Looking for Young Performers for "Cyrano de Bergerac" Show
"Cyrano de Bergerac" Show seeking boys & girls ages 17-18. See the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Cyrano de Bergerac is a man of many talents: a gifted poet, swordsman, philosopher, and scientist. His wit and a deep sense of honor have earned him as many friends as enemies, and he is held in high regard by society. His only true burden in life is his abnormally large nose; a feature that he is certain means he can never earn the love of any woman – let alone the love of the beautiful Roxane! He resorts to wooing her, through letters, on behalf of Christian (a friend and fellow soldier), who is also in love with her but doesn’t have the words to express it. She falls for the beautiful words crafted by Cyrano’s hand and heart – but believes they were written by Christian. Rate: $25 per show (rehearsals not paid), Additional info: Callbacks are not anticipated at this time. Audition Requirements: • Prepare 1-2 min comedic monologue and a short poem.
