Seeking Girls & Boys for "Mary Poppins JR." Musical

"Mary Poppins JR." needs 1st-8th Graders. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Disney and Cameron Mackintosh's Mary Poppins JR, based on one of the most popular Disney movies of all time and the Broadway musical that played for over 2,500 performances and received multiple Olivier and Tony Awards nominations. The jack-of-all-trades, Bert, introduces us to England in 1910 and the troubled Banks family. Young Jane and Michael have sent many a nanny packing before Mary Poppins arrives on their doorstep. Using a combination of magic and common sense, she must teach the family members how to value each other again. Mary Poppins takes the children on many magical and memorable adventures, but Jane and Michael aren't the only ones upon whom she has a profound effect. Even grown-ups can learn a lesson or two from the nanny who advises that "Anything can happen if you let it." Additional info: Vocal – Actors should prepare a broadway-style song (a song from Mary Poppins is fine) to sing acapella or with track accompaniment. This doesn't need to be the whole song, but a section of at least 16 bars with a good verse that shows off your vocal ability. (If choosing to sing with track accompaniment, the child must be able to do this themselves from their phone.) Choreography – Please familiarize yourself with the choreography for Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious attached. This will be reviewed at auditions, but it will help you at auditions to know it as well as possible when you get there. Script sides – Please familiarize yourself with the script sides attached. They do not have to be memorized, but you should think about how you would want to perform each of the roles/scenes. You may be asked to read for any of the roles on these sides.
