Kids and Teens Needed for "Cinderella" Show
"Cinderella" Show needs boys & girls. See the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Additional info: No previous experience is necessary. The directors do ask that if a student who cannot drive yet wants to participate, a family member, guardian, or family friend be participating in the show to guarantee transportation. Callbacks if needed (invite only). No appointment is necessary. Open Call Auditions. There is NO PAY to audition but there is a costume fee if you join the show. Auditions may run late, be prepared to stay the whole time. Please bring a list of all potential conflicts including travel, etc. The audition will consist of readings from a script and the singing of a song of the actor’s choice and a light dance. Song Options will also be provided in this packet. The directors are looking for energized, RESPONSIBLE, and committed performers. The directors will have 3 PERFORMANCES on the following dates: March 3,4,5 It is IMPORTANT ALL CONFLICTS BE LISTED ON THE AUDITION FORM. Most conflicts are able to be accommodated. However, if an actor fails to list all conflicts and several arise during the rehearsal process causing the actor to miss rehearsals, the actor will have to be replaced. What will be the rehearsal schedule? The schedule is already posted but please note that not every actor will be called to every rehearsal. Please see the attachment for details. Soprano/Mezzo A kind young woman. She is mild-mannered at first glance but burns with a fiery passion for more in her life. Although Cinderella comes from sad beginnings, she continues to make the best of every situation. Her caring, good-natured personality and strong opinions are what catch the Prince’s attention.
Mezzo-Soprano An unexpected ally for Cinderella, the Fairy Godmother is a mysterious, wise, and caring mentor who delivers her advice with wit and sass. She helps Cinderella realize her true potential.
Alto / Mezzo Cinderella’s stepmother. A stern, narcissistic upper-class lady. She is proud of her children and resents being burdened with Cinderella. There is always vile intent behind her words.

A charming young prince, Tenor, A bright young man. He is searching for his independence within his royal role. He is expected to marry for the good of the kingdom but wants it to be for true love. He hopes to understand the needs of his people.
Bari-tenor The prince’s Royal Steward; and his one true ally and friend.
Alto / Mezzo She wears the pants in her marriage and (silently) runs the kingdom. She is a vibrant, caring mother to her only child, Prince Christopher. She thinks her husband is daft but loves him completely anyway. A very genuine person.
Baritone A boisterous, head-slightly-filled-with-saw-dust, naive and comical king. Blissfully unaware of his wife and son’s emotions, he means well and his heart is in the right place.
