"Into the Woods" Needs Teen Performers
Looking for ages 13-18 years old for the "Into the Woods" Show. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim take everyone's favorite storybook characters and bring them together for an epic fairytale about wishes, family, and the choices we make. The story follows a Baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King's Festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. When the Baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a Witch's curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse. Everyone's wish is granted, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later with disastrous results. Additional info: Please prepare a short comedic monologue (no longer than 1 minute) and one of the audition cuts attached. Auditions will be accompanied. REHEARSALS: Based on actor availability starting January 2. PERFORMANCES: March 10-19 at NHTP (Fridays & Saturdays at 8 pm, Sundays at 2 pm). There is a production fee applied to participate.
