"Freaky Friday" Musical Seeks Tweens & Teens
Seeking ages 10+ for "Freaky Friday" Musical. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Additional info: When an overworked mother and her teenage daughter magically swap bodies, they have just one day to put things right again. By spending a day in each other’s shoes, Katherine and Ellie come to appreciate one another's struggles, learn self-acceptance, and realize the immeasurable love and mutual respect that bond a mother and daughter. Additional info: Please prepare 16-32 bars of a song that best suits your vocal ability. An accompanist will not be provided. Singing acapella is discouraged. There will be a dance component to the audition at call-backs for certain roles (bring appropriate footwear and dress to move) The actors will be doing cold readings from the script. No-show date conflicts will be accepted. All roles will be single cast but understudy opportunities are available. Rehearsals begin December 12, 2022, and are generally Mondays, Tuesdays, (no Wednesdays) Thursdays, and Fridays from 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm and Saturdays from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm (Not everyone will be called to all rehearsals) December 21-25, 31, and January 1 there will be no rehearsals. PRODUCTION DATES: January 27 - March 4, 2023 performances will be Thursdays and Fridays at 7:30 pm and Saturdays at 3:30 pm and 7:30 pm. If interested, please apply.
