Emi is an 11-year old, 6th grader at Brookside Elementary. She is a true performer, always singing (sometimes when she shouldn't be) and always dramatic. She is a musical theatre fanatic and listens to Broadway tunes incessantly. She is a great student, extremely quick learner, fun, funny with a great sense of humor and her best feature is her heart. Emi is compassionate and caring about everyone around her, always making sure everyone is included and comfortable.
Emi recently finished filming the lead role for a virtual movie "Bento Box" and has been on stage in our hometown's local theatre, Stockton Civic Theatre. She has played a Siren in Xanadu Jr, Red Riding Hood in Shrek Jr, a bus driver in All Shook Up Jr, and her breakout role as an orphan in Annie and then Lavender the following year in Matilda for SCT's holiday shows. She has been taking weekly singing lessons for three years and is a part of an elite year long theatre group,
Emi's hobbies range from singing, dancing, watching YouTube videos, reading, doing homework and walking her two dogs and her cat (yes the cat goes for his daily walks with the dogs!) to name a few. Emi alternates from wearing glasses and contact lenses.
Emi can play the piano and violin, not great, but she is able to to play. She can speak minimal conversational Chinese with her grandparents, jump rope, is a Girl Scouts cadette, participates in First Lego League and Science Olympiad competitions. Emi has won first place four years in a row for PTSA's Reflections Competition for Film Production. She has also tested 100% in her State Standardized Testing in Math and Language Arts two years in a row.
