"Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" Show Needs Teens

About the project: “Sha la la, Joseph, you’re doing fine! You and your dreamcoat, ahead of your time!” One of the most enduring shows of all time, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is a reimagining of the Biblical story of Joseph, his father Jacob, eleven brothers, and the coat of many colors. Told entirely through song with the help of a main character Narrator, the musical follows the preferred son Joseph. After being sold into slavery by his brothers, he ingratiates himself with Egyptian noble Potiphar, but ends up in jail after refusing the amorous advances of Potiphar’s wife. While imprisoned, Joseph discovers his ability to interpret dreams and soon finds himself before the mighty but troubled, Elvis-inspired Pharaoh. Joseph’s solution to Egypt’s famine elevates him to Pharaoh’s right-hand man and reunites him with his family. Additional info: Cast members must be present for at least 90% of rehearsals. Conflicts with rehearsal schedule/performances need to be listed on the audition form or relayed to directors as soon as they arise. Rehearsals: Starting June 9 Tuesdays & Thursdays at 5:30 PM - 8:00 PM Tech week is July 27 - 31, every night at 6:00 PM until we finish running the show Dress rehearsals and opening week will be August 3 - 6, every night, same as tech week Performances: August 7, 8, & 14 at 7:00 PM August 9, 15, & 16 at 3:00 PM The audition form and material are attached to the sign-up link.
