Be very afraid: Frederick Knott’s suspense thriller introduces us to Susy Hendrix, a woman recently blinded and struggling to adapt. A sinister con man, Roat, and his two accomplices have traced the location of a mysterious doll filled with illicit drugs to the Greenwich Village apartment where Susy lives with her husband, Sam. It seems that Sam has been persuaded by a strange woman to transport the doll across the Canadian border, unaware that it contains something that people are willing to kill for. While Sam is away, Roat weaves a deadly web of deception around Susy that climaxes in a heart-pounding game of cat and mouse. Additional info: Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script.
