"Shrek The Musical" Needs Teenagers

"Shrek The Musical" Auditions will be open to 7th-12th-grade students. Please see the details below. About the project: Once upon a time, in a faraway swamp, there lived an ogre named Shrek. One day, Shrek finds his swamp invaded by banished fairytale misfits who have been cast off by Lord Farquaad, a tiny terror with big ambitions. When Shrek sets off with a wisecracking donkey to confront Farquaad, he's handed a task — if he rescues feisty princess Fiona, his swamp will be righted. Shrek tries to win Fiona’s love and vanquish Lord Farquaad, but a fairytale wouldn't be complete without a few twists and turns along the way. Additional info: MANDATORY Parent/student meeting will start at 6 pm in the PAC lobby, and auditions will follow (on both Dec. 15 & 16 audition dates). Please bring your calendar and be prepared to fill out a conflict sheet, audition sheet, and turn in a performance resume, if applicable. Those auditioning should prepare a song in the style of the show (not a song from the show). Audition should include 32 bars of accompaniment music (no backup vocals), approximately 60-90 seconds.
