About the project: She Kills Monsters tells the story of Agnes Evans as she leaves her childhood home in Ohio following the death of her teenage sister, Tilly. When Agnes finds Tilly’s Dungeons & Dragons notebook, however, she finds herself catapulted into a journey of discovery and action-packed adventure in the imaginary world that was her sister’s refuge. In this high-octane dramatic comedy laden with homicidal fairies, nasty ogres, and 90s pop culture, acclaimed playwright Qui Nguyen offers a heart-pounding homage to the geek and warrior within us all. CONTENT WARNING: This play contains strong language and adult themes such as violence, sexual content, bullying, and death. Additional info: What to Expect for Auditions: For all: Cold readings with scenes from the show. Dress appropriately for movement exercises as well. For those interested in the role of Agnes Evans, a cold reading of a monologue in the show will also happen. CALLBACKS (if necessary): Friday, December 19, 2025: 6:00 PM Rehearsals: Rehearsals will be Monday through Wednesday evenings (6:00PM-9:00PM), starting January 5, 2026. More evening and weekend (late morning to mid-afternoon) times may be available. Expect fight, dance, and intimacy choreography. Must be available Saturday, March 7, through Wednesday, March 11, 2026 (production week). No plans for pick up rehearsals, but please keep evenings during performance dates available, just in case.
