About the project: Jose, a mild-mannered vegetarian and veterinary student, agrees to spend his winter practicum at the family farm of his confident and quirky classmate, Annie. What begins as a chance to gain hands-on experience quickly spirals into chaos as Jose encounters Annie's eccentric relatives, secretive farmhands, and a string of bizarre "practices" involving the livestock. After the prolonged disappearance of Kyler, his college roommate, Jose starts to suspect that something far darker is at play. As his investigation turns him into both a sleuth and a potential entrée, Jose must navigate the farm's web of deception, all while keeping his senses and stomach intact.
