"Newsies" Musical Searching For Teens

ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Seeking teens for professional, non-equity production of "Newsies". See the details below. About the project: "Newsies" follows Jack Kelly and a group of New York City newsboys who go on strike in 1899 after newspaper publishers raise prices. With help from new friends, they band together to fight for fair treatment and ultimately win better conditions through solidarity and persistence. Rate: All actors will receive a small stipend for this production. Stipend amounts may differ based on the time commitment of each role. Additional info: Invitation-only Callbacks will be held on December 20 from 1:00-5:00pm. Audition slots are 1-hour long, and actors will be asked to sing a 32-bar musical cut in-style of Newsies, participate in a dance call, and potentially cold-read sides from the script.
