About the project: Set in the unforgiving landscape of rural Manitoba, NORTHERN LIGHTS is a raw, high-stakes drama about 18-year-old Polly, a fearless snowmobile desperate to go pro and break free from her small-town life. Caught between a gambling grandmother, a best friend who runs drugs, and an unexpected pregnancy, Polly’s shot at glory collides with betrayal, violence, and survival. Gritty, dark, and emotionally charged, the film blends the starkness of small-town Canada with the adrenaline of racing, and the raw intensity of a coming-of-age story.
