Students in grades 4-12 are welcome to audition for "The Little Mermaid." Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Additional info: What to prepare: Student 6-12 Grade: Please prepare a one-minute song (with track) and a 30 to 60 second monologue (from a movie, play, book, or musical). Students may read their monologues, though memorized monologues are encouraged and help with the confidence of delivery. If a student is not interested in a main speaking or singing role, please communicate that in the space provided below. Students 4-5 Grade: Please choose either to prepare your own one-minute song with track and a 30 to 60-second monologue or prepare an audition line and song from the sign-up link. Also, students will be participating in a dance audition. At auditions, teachers will teach each group a small 30-second dance (bring dance shoes if you have them and comfortable clothes). When a student auditions, they will come to the stage, state their name, age, and the title of the song they will be singing. ("Hello, my name is Michelle, and I am 10 years old, and I will be signing 'A Million Dreams' ) After singing, students will announce the monologue/audition line they will be saying ("Now, I will be reciting Queendom from You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown") Tech Week: March 9-14, 3:30-9:00 Move-In/Tear Down: March 8 12:30-3:00, March 14, 1:00-3:00 Show Dates: March 12 @ 7:00 PM; March 13 @ 7:00 PM; March 14 @ 10:00 AM Note that a fee will be applied.
