The short follows various points in a girl's life (Eve) as we see her perspective and attitude of the inevitability of death change. Eve as a toddler will be the start of this girl's perspective. Eve starts out going through life normally as she is smiling and happy with her parents, to then seeing a man die right in front of her eyes and not understanding what she just saw. Much like most children when they first uncover the concept of death: Eve is confused, scared, and uncertain of this
Sally is a little girl who is gathered with her family as she watches her grandmother on her death bed. Sally does not fully understand the concept of death and is uncertain what to make of it, but mainly shows a look of discomfort. Her grandmother comforts her and explains to her that death is nothing to be afraid of, giving Sally a sense of relief. This actress will need to be able to show a sense of confusion, discomfort, fear, and also relief.
Eve, as a toddler, will be having a birthday party. So we will need several kids around her age to attend. These kids will need to express joy and playfulness in one moment, to fear in the next.
